Democruit can connect to AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini so you can work on your job search in a conversation. This connection is called MCP. You choose what the assistant can access, ask it to work with your Democruit documents, and review the results. Deleting a document requires your confirmation in Democruit.

How it works

  1. Connect your Democruit account. In your AI assistant, add Democruit and sign in to the account you want to use. Check which assistant is asking for access and read the permissions before agreeing. Connection availability depends on the AI app and your account settings. You do not need to write code to use a supported connection.
  2. Choose a document and explain your task. You might ask the assistant to review a resume, prepare a cover letter, or add an application to your job tracker. If you have several resumes, ask it to list them first and choose the right one. Include the job description when you want advice for a particular role.
  3. Review what the assistant produces. A suggestion in the chat is something you can evaluate before using it. When you want a change saved, say so clearly and check the result in Democruit. Some changes can be saved directly with the permissions you granted. Requests to delete documents wait for your confirmation in Democruit.

Reviewing, saving, and deleting a document involve different choices.

Why it matters

Working from your saved documents helps the assistant give advice based on your experience, rather than starting from a blank conversation each time. You can compare a resume with a job description and organize applications while chatting. You still need to check names, dates, claims, and saved changes because an AI suggestion can contain mistakes.

A resume-editing example

Nadia has a general resume and a version for an operations role. She asks: "List my resumes, then review the operations resume I choose against this job description." After selecting it, she asks which parts of her experience best match the role.

Next, she says: "Suggest a clearer version of this bullet using only the facts already in my resume." She reads the suggestion and checks that it preserves her responsibilities without adding achievements she cannot support. At this point, the suggestion is still in the conversation; she should not assume her resume has changed.

If she likes the wording, she asks the assistant to save it to the selected resume. She then opens that resume in Democruit and checks the updated bullet. Later, if she wants to delete an old version, she reviews the deletion request in Democruit before confirming it.

A suggestion becomes a saved change only after the update succeeds.

What access means for your information

An assistant with permission to read your resumes can receive their contents, including contact details and work history. Choosing one resume in a message tells it which document to use for that task; the connection's permission may cover other resumes in your account too. Review the access you grant, especially when your documents contain information you would not otherwise share in that AI app.

Democruit's Privacy Policy explains how Democruit uses your information. The AI assistant you connect has its own privacy rules and settings. To stop future access, open Democruit settings, find the assistant under Connected agents, and select Revoke access. This does not remove information already received by the other app; review its history and privacy controls separately.

Your plan still applies

Using Democruit through an AI assistant uses your existing account's feature allowances. See Democruit pricing for current features and allowances. A feature available in Democruit may not yet be available through the connection, so check that the assistant can perform the task you want.

Common misconception

"Once connected, the assistant handles the whole application for me" goes too far. It can help prepare materials and update supported Democruit records, but drafting an email does not send it, and adding a job to your tracker does not submit an application. Review your materials and complete those steps yourself through your email app or the employer's application page.

To apply this: follow the Democruit connection guide.
